Inspiring Message for Parents –
THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO FOR YOUR KIDS!!!
Love your kids.
Love your kids…not just by putting a roof over their heads and giving them food to eat, and not by always supplying them with all
of the latest electronic fads….but by having a real relationship with them. Care about them. Hug them. Laugh with them.
Cry with them. …..even if they roll their eyes…even if they turn their back on you….even if they act embarrassed….even if they
pull away.
Ask them how their day was….and then listen when they tell you. Make time for them. Help them with their homework. If you
don’t think you can help, try. Check on their grades often. Congratulate them on a job well done. Talk to their teachers.
Know who their friends are. Help them make wise choices. Encourage them to get involved in worth-while activities, and then
support and cheer them on in those activities. Be a role model.
Make sure they get enough sleep at night. Give them structure, rules, and boundaries. They will probably resist, but deep down,
these things make them feel safe, worthy, and loved.
Don’t assume that they know they are loved….tell them….and tell them often.
Your kids may not realize how hard it is to be a parent. They may not see all the sacrifices that you make for them every day.
But someday, they will understand. Right now, they may not have the words to show their appreciation for all that you do,
but someday they will be able to love their own kids because they learned how from you. :)
Let’s make it a GREAT year!
